Whether you're teaching kids, teens, adults / general, specific, conversational or business English, if you're lessons aren't fun and/or stimulating, your students are unlikely to retain what you teach them.
The equation is this simple...
Enjoyable = memorable
The opposite = forgettable
BUT I'M NOT A COMEDIAN!
You don't need to be. What you do need is a good rapport with your students [and not knowing all their names is shameful], and a bank of games and/or learning activities that work for you and your students.
UR, I DON'T HAVE A BANK OF GAMES AND/OR LEARNING ACTIVITIES.
Fear not, the Internet is rich with free teaching resources. Spend some time going through sites like daveseslcafe.com and bogglesworldesl.com and consider what will fit with your personality and your students.
